I call this 'rainbow cliffs'. It is in the mountains of Yunnan, near Dongchuan.Women cut stalks of rice. Harvest time is in the fall. Yuan Yang.A elderly woman cuts rice on a mountain top terrace. I watched to see if it was difficult for them and it wasn't. They simply flew up the small path to the mountain top.A house is hidden in the depths of the valley in Long ji.Mist rose up from the valleys every night. This was fall and it was cool but not cold.Long-ji is perhaps the most beautiful of all the rice farms in this part of China due to the mountains being close together and the unusual curving terraces. The terraces are 400 years old.
