Armenian Wolfhound guards flock of sheep

Pride

Armenia 2106

An Armenian Wolfhound proudly guides his flock of  hundreds of sheep down the highway leading to Azerbaijan. The Armenians crop the ears and tails of these dogs…they say it is so that if they got in a fight with a wolf, the wolf could not grab the ears in his teeth. As the dog passed, I got the feeling that he was proud and happy to be guarding his sheep.
