Color Palette

China: autumn colors

Autumn

China, 2005

I’ve found a new “category”. It’s called color palette. Now I can add some photos with colors that tell the story for me.

This is a house on a city street in China. The rust-red color of the weathered wood and the yellow-green leaves of the tree are the colors of autumn. The windows, the roof line, the curved line of the wall say “old China” and make me wish I could go inside. Who used to live here? Perhaps a wealthy merchant.  I don’t know why but I love looking at this old house.

It was raining that day and I can see the raindrops dripping off the tile roof in the upper right corner. I remember we ran up the wet street to a tea house where we took shelter.
