Ghana Boy

Ghana: a boy and his puppy stand in a millet field

Curious

Ghana 2003

Oops! I got some lens flare. Maybe if I’d had a lens shade, the glare of the sun on my lens wouldn’t have made that distracting circle of light. It’s twice as bad because it overlaps the boy’s face. It is such a cute little face, too. His posture says he is curious but he is hesitant. It’s not every day a bunch of white people speaking a strange language visit his village.

The place is Africa, but it could have been on the farm where I grew up. Maybe that’s why I love this photo despite its flaws.
