Ghana Girl

Ghana: girl carries headload of wood

Burdened

Village in Ghana 2003

There were three or four girls, each carrying a load of wood on her head. They wore cotton print sarongs, earrings and necklaces. They were small but strong and nimble. When they saw me try to photograph them they began to giggle and broke into a run. To them it was funny.
