H’mong Style

Northern Vietnam 2005

As seen in the marketplace of Bac Ha. The H’mong women were noted for their fine embroidery and applique. Years ago the H’mong immigrant community sold their needlework at artisan markets here in southern California. No more. The skills have not been passed down. I don’t blame the younger generation. The ones I’ve met are intelligent and energetic. They have other goals.
