Imitation is the Greatest Form of Flattery

See Rome and Die

Rome, Italy 2015

My husband and I are watching “The Sopranos” for the third time. It is natural to think of things Italian. I have a book of Italian travel posters and I glanced through it before falling asleep the other night. I came upon a poster that used the coliseum as a background and was inspired to use my coliseum photos which, to be honest, are boring by themselves. I copied the poster using my photos and now I’m happy!

Combining photos is a way of bringing life to lackluster images.

Imitating is a way to learn. Everyone learns from looking at the works of others.
