Isaak Pasha Palace

Now and then I look back at my photos from my trip to Eastern Turkey and come upon Isaak Pasha Palace. I have several viewpoints but none of them make me happy. Read about why  here:

In the photo above, I framed the palace with the trees. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn’t. I had one teacher who hated this technique but I think it makes the subject look less “industrial”. Know what I mean?

Time has passed since I visited Isaak Pasha and I seem to be growing fonder of my photos of the old palace. The sense of mystery is returning. I think this shot conveys a bit of what I’m looking for.
