Life in the Andes

Peruvian girl and her mother take their livestock to pasture in the mountains

Descendants of the Incas

Peru 2003

A girl and her mother take the family’s livestock to pasture. Although it was cold, they seemed warm enough with their wool sweaters and their hats, plus chasing after wayward livestock.  I didn’t notice the country people wearing shoes and sox. It seemed they all, men and women, wore these sandals made from old inner tubes.
