Rabari Women move camp

Nomad Women of the Rabari Tribe

 Gujarat, India

Rabari women walk to their camp. They wear their traditional dress of full skirt, a half-blouse garment that leaves their back bare, plus a draped piece of fabric over that for modesty. Their upper arms are covered with bracelets made of laquer. Formerly, many women had ivory bracelets. Even now you will see women wearing huge ivory bracelets that have been handed down to them.
