The Outcast

A row of donkeys in Kashgar, China market with one donkey separate from the crowd

Where’s Mine?

Kashgar, China 2003

Animals behave as we do in many ways. They form cliques, a pecking order, and the low man in the herd has a miserable time of it. At feeding time, the outcast must gobble his  food because once the dominant animal sees him eating, he will leave his own food to push the outcast from eating his. Mean!
