Berber Girl with Firewood

Morocco,  between Ouarzazate and the Erg Chebbi 2000

I’d often see groups of women carrying loads of desert brush homeward. I had the impression from my friend’s family, that this was a chore most women disliked. He told me proudly that he did not ask his new bride to do this chore. I wonder who did it. I know he didn’t!
