Postcard from the Kremlin

Post card of the Kremlin in Moscow

The Kremlin

Moscow 2009

Shot from the bus window. I used to never shoot from the window of a moving vehicle, especially one that I couldn’t open. But when you are confined in a bus and you have a digital camera, well, “Fire Away!” as Putin might say.

When I was in Kyrgyzstan in 2012, I was told by a very reliable person that the Russian population, which outnumbers the Kyrgyz, wished Putin would annex them. Times are hard in Kyrgyzstan and people hoped that if Putin took over things would be better. They weren’t thinking that many of them had been exiled to Kyrgyzstan under the communists in the first place and that they had lost everything they owned.
