Vintage Poster

vintage poster look featuring dressage rider and horse in competition

Collected Trot

California, U.S.A. 2015

It took 14 layers in Photoshop to get this vintage poster look. I’ve been looking for a way to get those black outlines and now I’ve got it…for this photo anyway. I’m not sure the same ideas will work on the next photo I try. I used several types of software: Topaz ReStyle, Snap Art, Exposure 7 and many Photoshop filters as well.

I still have a way to go before I’m satisfied. The colors aren’t right and I need to add some text. I want some vintage font. Fonts can be found on the net. Some are free to download but as you know, you must be careful what you download.

It’s a good thing to have to work at something, isn’t it?  I made some strides today and it may be weeks or months before I make more, but in the meantime I have something to think about and to experiment with.
