Woman in Leopard Fur

Ethiopia: Dassenetch Woman in Leopard Skin

Dassenetch Woman in Leopard Skin

Ethiopia 2013

A Dassenetch woman wears leopard skins and a decorated calabash on her head. I was told that the men of the Omo Valley are sometimes attacked by leopards when they are in the bush with their herds.  The calabash reminds me of the Wodaabe women who pride themselves on their calabash decorating skills.
