Women of Mopti

Mopti Mali, Mandingo women wash clothes in Niger River

Mandingo Women

Mopti, Mali 1998

Women wash clothing in the Niger River.  I love their posture. Graceful. Although we who are used to washing machines would not like doing this chore, it didn’t bother these women who were laughing and gossiping as they worked.

I’m trying to learn a new technique, just for fun. It’s trial and error and I’m spending hours and hours. I’m using many of the Topaz Labs apps. Must remember to enjoy myself like the women in the photo above.
