Boone Hall Plantation

oak alley at Boone Hall Plantation

Boone Hall

South Carolina, U.S.A. 2011

I finally got this photo of the beautiful oak alley at Boone Hall to my liking. The contrast of the dappled sunlight on the Spanish moss and the shade under the oaks drove me crazy. I think that I’ve finally achieved the proper balance and it looks close to reality. Not many places on this earth are as beautiful as this road leading to the mansion at Boone Hall. My aim was to let you see it the way it really is, but the best would be if you actually stood under those mighty oaks.
