Ethiopian Coffee Break

Coffee in Lalibela

Lalibela, Ethiopia 2013

I’d “done” the churches of Lalibela. Now it was time for a coffee break. I don’t remember the taste of my coffee, but I do remember the little girl who brought it to me. After she handed me the steaming cup, she sat beside me, snuggling up to me, her soft, little hands clutching my arm as if I were her grandmother.
