Himalayan Boy

Himalayan people: Tibetan boy

On Top of the World

Ladakh, India (formerly Western Tibet)

The Himalayas look like a desert in October:  empty of vegetation, cold despite the bright sun, and at 14,000 feet, as we were here, guaranteed to inflict altitude sickness on the weak. This cute little boy, so tiny and sweet, followed his mother as she did something…what?…I don’t know. My head hurt and I was dizzy from altitude sickness.
