Temple Doors

Mongolia 2014

Red and blue together make me happy. Add those faint scratch marks that are a shade of yellow and for me it’s perfect.

The doors open to a small temple in a forest in eastern Mongolia. The temple was a yurt built of wood. It is a replacement for an ancient temple and monastery destroyed by the Soviets. But no replacements are possible for the deaths of tens of thousands of Mongolian people including the Buddhist priests.
