The Village Beauty

Rabari Girl in Gujarati village sits by doorway

Village Beauty

Gujarat, India 2009

This beautiful girl is an orphan, cared for by a relative. My impression was that she was intelligent and industrious. She was quick to do any task at hand and if not otherwise occupied, she attended to her needlework.

I think her relatives appreciated her. Look at her earrings and clothing and her bracelets.
