Bemused in Serbia

A kindly shepherd poses for us

Bemused

Somewhere in the Serbian countryside 2018

I’ve got a million photos of this man. As I’ve written before, when you are in a group, or even just two of you, and the other guy keeps shooting, well, I keep shooting, too. And of all my million photos of this gentleman, I couldn’t find one that I liked. Until I used Nik Silver Effects filter. All this photo needed was the drama of black and white. Nik filters make getting to the right level of contrast easier, but you don’t need anything but Photoshop.

The thing I did love was this man’s sox and shoes. They remind me of an Algerian Zouave’s uniform.
