The Cobbler
A cobbler mends shoes in an outdoor market in Khiva, Uzbekistan. I try to posterized my shots because this look is my favorite. Some shots work and some don’t. I try many ways to accomplish this look. I use software from Alien Skin…Snap Art and Exposure 7 primarily. I can see if I will be successful in seconds. The darkroom took ages and ages to get something right.
Chinese Fish Market
Another posterized look. This time it is of fish for sale in a market somewhere in China. The posterizing technique makes the design on the scallop shells stand out and the fish don’t look so boring with the fantastic colors.
The Narghile Smokers
This shot of narghile smokers in an Istanbul café has been given the look of a painting. Since I am not an artist, I am more than satisfied with this look. I used Alien Skin’s Snap Art 4.
