Discussion at the Fair

What do you want to do, then?

This is a Snap Art 3 digital painting of people at the Ventura County Fair last August. Snap Art 3 brings it all together for me. It takes enough reality out of the photo and adds enough fantasy to make it worth looking at.

I was attracted by the blue sky, the yellow building and of course, the palm tree. These photos are invariably a disappointment when you look at them on your computer. They look so snapshot. People walk into your photo and ruin your viewpoint.

Did these people do that? I can’t remember, but now I see that they make my photo. The body language on the man on the right:  he’s saying, “I’m not going on the roller coaster again and you can’t make me.” Or something like that. He hasn’t changed since he was a child. Have any of us?

Look at that woman’s physique. She goes to the gym regularly. She’s leaning forward just a tad, trying to change the mood of the man in the brown shirt. I get the idea that the man on her left is her new boyfriend. He seems to be staying out of things. But his red shirt adds the final primary color to the blue of the sky and the yellow of the building. They are colors of crayons and they make me feel as happy as when I was six and had a new coloring book and a deluxe box of crayons, you know, the ones with maroon and blue-green.

If you haven’t asked Santa for your Christmas present yet, think of asking for Snap Art 3. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
