Junk Sailing Mekong

Mekong Ambiance

On the Mekong River 2007

A “vintage” photo of a junk sailing the rapids of the Mekong. The pilots of the boats skillfully maneuvered the boats over the rapids. Large rocks lay hidden under the muddy water and it was necessary to be sure of the channel. The long boat would shudder and rumble and seemed to twist as we shot over the rushing water. We all respected the skills of the master when we were safely past the rapids and whirlpools.

I used Alien Skin’s Exposure 4 to get this look. I love it. So much atmosphere.  It makes an ordinary shot exotic. This is why I sit at my computer whenever I have free time. It makes me happy!!!
