Listening to the Master

Buddhist Monks in Myanmar copy dictation from the Master
Diligent

Burma 2011 Somewhere near Mandalay

There was something touching about these young men lying over their copybooks, concentrating with all their might on the dictation from the Master, or monk who is in charge of the monastery.

As I’ve said on other posts, these men may spend their entire life in the monastery or they may spend a few years or a few days. It depends on them. There are no rules. Most boys and girls in Burma spend some time in a monastery in order to learn about Buddhism.
