Refuge

Maaloula, Syria 2010

I read in the Journal this morning that Christians are fleeing from Syria and Iraq to Lebanon. Entire families have left their homes and businesses and become refugees depending on food and shelter from the United Nations. What must that be like? How do people carry on?

These huge rocks are part of the mountain near Maaloula, a Christian town in Syria. The caves are where the first Christians sought safety from the Romans. Nothing changes.
