Evening Stroll on U Bein Bridge

Burma 2011

Luckily I carried a full frame,  all purpose lens on my crop frame camera. This allowed me to have a zoom of 400mm and enabled me to shoot a shot like this one.  So very satisfying. I remember when my most used lens was a 2.8 Tamron 28-150mm (think that’s right). It was great in low light but so many times the length was lacking. I dropped that lens a couple of times and the last time, it was  not repairable. I was sad, but I shouldn’t have been. My new lens a Nikon 28-300 is perfect! ( You get the extra distance (400mm) due to the small sensor of a cropped frame camera. That comes in handy for zoom but is a drawback for wide angle which changes from 28mm to around 35mm).
