Handsome Kurdish Woman Art Deco style

The Woman Who Looked Like a Statue

Eastern Turkey 2008

The things a person can do with Photoshop and Topaz and Alien-Skin and Nik Filters!!!

Here is a portrait of a Kurdish woman whose classic features reminded me of a Greek statue or anĀ Art Deco advertisement. She could be on the cover of one of Ayn Rand’s books…or maybe tucked into the frame of a mirror, as I noticed was the custom of Italian peasants, so that every time a person looked at themselves they would see their loved one, also. ( I saw this in an Italian film and I loved the idea).

As I’ve told you many times, I love “retro” and this is it!
