The View from My Room

Woman and Picasso

Tbilisi, Georgia 2017

I got sick in Tbilisi and I was confined to my hotel room. Luckily, it was a lovely room with a balcony that overlooked a narrow street in the old quarter. I could see the bathhouse that Pushkin used to frequent. I could see the fortress with its Orthodox church dominating the skyline. And I could watch the neighborhood women do their chores.

Photoshop revealed the sitting figure behind this woman. It made me think of a Picasso.
