Parlor at Kalnoky Estate

We sat in the parlor with the inn’s hostess, Monica, and chatted of this and that. A glass of clear, golden, palinca (apricot brandy) was offered. The evening sun slanted into the cozy room filtered through embroidered curtains. The aura of the Habsburg era suffused the room with comfort, charm and warmth. I could have stayed there for hours.
