Shoes in a Bucharest Shop Window

Bucharest, Romania 2012

I had a couple of days in Bucharest after saying good-bye to my guide, Daniel Gheorghita (http://www.covinnus.com/index.html). It was Easter weekend and almost everyone was spending the religious holiday with family and friends.  I walked the deserted neighborhood streets near my hotel, camera in hand.  Over the course of my wanderings, I got to know some of the streets so well that I could direct a Romanian woman to an open flower shop a few blocks away.

I passed this shoe store on my way to and from the hotel. On my last day, I shot these fantastic shoes.  I used my blur technique to give them this glowing, cartoon look. (Just drag the clarity slider all the way to the left. Then adjust saturation and voila!
