Spicy!

Old woman sells spices in the market at Lalibela, Ethiopia

Spice Lady

Lalibela, Ethiopia 2013

Ethiopians love spicy food; Lalibela’s market was filled with heaps of red peppers, ginger root and other condiments. The pungent smell of the peppers filled the air. I couldn’t stay in the area for more than a minute…maybe less. I began to cough from breathing in the potent fumes.

Spicy! (note spelling) I was excited! Probably going to be some shots of semi-naked Tahitians roaming the islands with sarongs! Oh well, maybe next time.
Anent that: I was asked by my friend Gerri Spain if you had visited Tahiti as she wanted to see some of the shots you had taken. Even Hawaii would be good. J.
