Friends

We were visiting the home of the girl who bows her head. She wants to be the friend of the older, rather more adult-looking girl. And she is, for now. The older girl is curious about us. You can see her sharp look: her hand on her hip as if demanding an explanation. The younger one is doing her best to amuse her friend, but I get the feeling she is at a loss for words.
I made this into a digital painting with Snap Art 3. The softness of the brush strokes gives the feeling of a memory.
