Worm’s Eye View

worm's eye view of the fortified church at Biertan, Romania

Biertan Fortified Church

Biertan, Romania 2012

We were walking up the road to the church when I shot this. It was an easy way to get a worm’s eye view…no crouching to ground level, thank God.  Of course, you know I shot this with a wide angle lens and you also know that there was plenty of distortion: the buildings tilting inwards. I straightened the tower in Photoshop using Transform>Perspective. There are other ways to do it but I like using Transform>Perspective. I think that I have more control.

Biertan was one of my favorite places in Romania and not just because I ate my first papanash in the nearby café.
